Jewelry appraisals must be accurate and reliable. And in order to perform a competent and comprehensive appraisal, an appraiser must have the right tools, knowledge, and experience. While many may hold themselves out to be “jewelry appraisers,” only a select few possess the credentials and expertise needed to qualify them as graduate gemologists.

Here at LTL Jewelry Appraisal Service, LLC, our appraiser is a Graduate Gemologist, accredited by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), as well as a Certified Gemologist Appraiser of the American Gem Society (AGS). To maintain this title, our appraiser is re-certified each year.

We also maintain our lab and equipment to industry standards. The diamond master stones for color grading we utilize have been accepted and certified by GIA and AGS.

Independence is another touchstone of quality. Our independent appraiser focuses exclusively on appraising jewelry and is not in the business of buying or selling jewelry. Our customers can be assured that they will receive unbiased, comprehensive appraisals based on the procedures and ethics set forth in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.

We make appraisals of fine jewelry to the jewelry trade, the buying public, financial institutions, probate attorneys, and the insurance industry. The comprehensive grading and valuation reports are suitable for purposes related to insurance, damage reports, and loss reports; resale; estates in probate; gem identification; and diamond certificate verifications (for Internet diamond purchases, for example).
